Look fit on your wedding day

With marriage around the corner, would-be brides and grooms sweat it out at the gym for D-day.
Look fit on your wedding day
With D-day approaching, the battle against flab gets fierce. The marriage season is not really all about enjoyment for those who have been ignoring their fitness quotient.
Even a firm advocate of natural beauty humbly gives in when the question of cutting down on that extra flab arises. Youngsters are definitely more particular about sporting a respectable appearance before marriage and thats one of the main reasons they hit the gym.
1x1 polls

Mahesh Kotkar (name changed), a sales manager, lives under constant anxiety as he gets ready to be the groom. He is well-settled and a teetotaler, but that doesnt make him a perfect catch. The one thing going against him is his weight and flab.
I weigh 98 kgs and I am sure no girl would like my appearance. If I expect a beautiful girl in marriage, I must carry the same feel about me. He has advised his mother against floating his picture in the community. He has asked for time. Why? I have decided to get into shape within a month and then proceed further. I have joined a gym and I am meticulously following their weight loss programme, says he hopefully.
Well, its not just the obese but also the lean who are conscious of their looks. Varun Srivastav (name changed), a media person, says that the problem faced by lean individuals is as acute as the one faced by the fat. People consider lean people to be perpetually ill. Many proposals get turned down because of my skinny appearance. No outfits suit me. Physical attractiveness is very important and cannot be ruled out, observes he. He has incidentally joined a weight gain programme at a nearby gym.

Rajeev Kumar, a civil engineer who has started getting marriage proposals, feels, The first impression is the best impression. Being in shape gives you a feel-good factor and improves your prospects of finding a good match. As of now, he is satisfied with practising Pranayama. Hitting the gym would be the last recourse a few weeks before marriage, he says.
Kumar Pawar, a fitness instructor with a renowned gym, endorses the fact, With marriage season on a roll, a lot of youngsters are hitting the gym. The number of girls is more than boys. Girls start very early while men show up a few weeks before marriage. Some of them come for weight loss, some for weight gain and some of them to improve their flexibility and general fitness.
Ananya Singh (name changed), a software professional, says, Everybody wants to look his/her best during marriage. With me its not about losing or gaining weight; its just that I want to stay fit and in good shape, and thats the reason I frequent the gym.
So, all you would-be brides and grooms hitting the gym, know that you are definitely not alone. After all, every day is not D-day!
